HUSBAND ALERT!!
So the Victoria's Secret fashion show was on tonight!!!! YAY!!! You might be sitting there thinking, "Great!!! I will just buy my wife another nighty for Christmas."

It Friday!! Wahoo!!! Any plans? Ugly sweater part? Pictures with Santa?

Whatever it is don't lose sight of your goals. Don't throw away a weeks worth of dedication and hard work just for a few moments of savory bliss.

Let's be real. Sugar and spice are anything BUT nice and that's what your waist line will tell you! haha I just made that up!

I LOVE this! Ever since I was a little girl I always had this bubbly energy about myself. I would get mad from time to time but I wouldn't reeeeally let anything get to me. My husband claims that's one of the things that attracted him to me. ...Sorry babe. hehe

But over the years at times I've been tested. I've had my patience tried. At times I've lost it. It happens. I'm human.

But what matters the most is that I didn't let it burn out. I chosen time and time again to keep my sparkle. To keep that little bit of energy that makes me ME! And so should YOU!

YOU are AMAZING. Just ask your momma. haha But really. You are and don't let yourself forget it.

So, how did you do this long holiday weekend? Eat a little more than you would've liked? Way more? That's ok. Today is a NEW DAY!

Don't let those thoughts like "I give up" or "I already killed my diet maybe this isn't for me" get into your head. Misery may love company but so does positivity!!

Holiday recipe week continues!

{{ APPLE COCONUT CRISP }}

Ingredients:
2 lbs of apples (I used 2 honeycrisps–yep, one pound each…now that’s a real apple!)
1/2 cup organic coconut flour
1/2 cup almond flour
1/2 cup gluten free oats
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp all spice
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/3 cup organic coconut oil
2 tbsp organic flax seed
2 tbsp egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
1 tbsp agave (optional)

Instructions:
1.Preheat oven to 375
2. Core and slice apples
3. toss apples with a light sprinkle of cinnamon before placing in 8×11 (ish) glass dish
optional lightly drizzle 1 tbsp organic agave over the apples in the dish (gives a more caramelized taste/effect without using brown sugar!)

Separately, mix the egg whites and the flax seed together and let sit until needed

Add all remaining dry ingredients together in a bowl and mix up with a fork

Next add melted coconut oil and vanilla along with the egg white & flax mixture
mix together with fork until it creates a nice crumble

Spread evenly across the apples in the dish until completely covered
Bake for 30 minutes.

Once finished, let cool for at least another 30 minutes or so.

Alright. Here we are. On the eve of one of the biggest calorie binge eating days of the year!

Tomorrow will be tough but you CAN do it! The food is awesome and when you're enjoying the company of others it is SO easy to keep snacking here and there.

But DON'T let yourself get carried away. It is very easy to consume between 2300-3500 calories over the day. REMEMBER: 1 LB of fat = 3600 calories

Remember why you started. Remember what is important to you. Remember that while others will be complaining of their holiday weight gain YOU will be feeling and looking AWESOME!!

This week may be a holiday but that doesn't mean you just throw in the towel!

If you were about to climb a mountain would you dig yourself into a 20 foot pit first? Good Lord NO! haha So, don't do that to yourself when it comes to your health and fitness.
