It's definitely what I would call a "practice" course. They are trying to recover the greens but it has been a struggle. If you want to just get out and practice your game somewhere besides a driving range, it's not bad for that purpose. Also a decent place to take junior/beginner golfers to teach course management, etiquette, etc. If you are looking for a true course to play a serious round, you'd want to look elsewhere.

I bought two $30 GroupOn gift vouchers recently. I wanted to redeem them for batting cage time for my daughters. When I presented the two vouchers to the older gentleman behind the counter he scanned them to redeem the vouchers. I asked for batting cage tokens and he said that he would give me 20 tokens for each of my GroupOn vouchers. I looked up at the board behind him and saw that $28 would get 25 tokens. He noticed that I was looking at the board and said that he was obligated to redeem these vouchers at the 1 token for $2 rate. He said he was giving me a better deal by giving me 20 tokens since I only paid $15 for the voucher. He also mentioned that it was stated in the voucher. Since the voucher was on the counter I picked it up to review further. He picked up the other voucher and directed me to the “Fine Print Area.” He read the sentence in the fine print area, “Not valid with other offers or in-house promotions” and stated that him giving me 20 tokens for each voucher was more than fair. I was not in the mood to argue with this person and took the tokens. For whatever reason he pointed out that he gave me 20 tokens in one plastic baggy and 22 in the other. In conclusion, the voucher states that I am entitled to “$15 for $30 worth of golf, mini golf, batting cages, driving-range practice, and go-karts.” If the person behind the counter didn’t want to give me the tokens for the $30 worth of batting cage time then don’t participate in GroupOn. I will not be taking advantage of this offer with Windy Hill in the future and may rethink GroupOn moving forward. I intend to make GroupOn aware of this transaction as well.

Very disappointed! Played this course several years ago and really liked it. Went back today and I was shocked at the poor condition of this course. The greens were horrible, very spotty/diseased. There was alot of trash and discarded junk along the paths and in wooded areas. Also, they did not honor the rate that we were quoted over the phone prior to showing up.
