Gary, I bought pepper transplants that are probably about 8 inches tall now, should I remove any leaves that are ground level or below the crown?
Benefits of Pruning Peppers:  Several Examples with Control Plants There are several reasons you may prune peppers. One reason is to develop stronger sturdier stems. This helps plants manage high wind areas and better suppor...

Hope you are all having some great Spring weather !
I finally have everything potted! I still need to plant my Zinnia seeds but need a wee bit more potting soil. I planted some of the Lemongrass seeds, no point in using the whole package when I don't need that many plants. Yes...

I am not really a Russell Brand fan but this was nicely written
Russell Brand: The manic energy of Williams could turn to destruction as easily as creativity. Is it melancholy to think that a world that he can’t live in must be broken?

I am on a black/purple trend this year, I have two Black Krims, one Indigo Rose, started seeds for Black Cherry tomatoes and have one Purple Bell bell pepper plant, all in containers. First year trying to grow any of them in Zone 8, North Central Texas.

No, you're not a bad plant parent! Your just a gardener who can't plant 24/7. Mainly because it gets dark! And there's those obligations during the day....Lol :D

Bully Free Zone

I had the chance this summer to pass by my old elementary school, Gonzalvez Elementary, in Cerritos, CA, where I was bullied every single day as a kid. While there, I saw this sign – “bully free zone”. Part of me doesn’t believe a word of it. Part of me – and I’m a high school teacher – hopes they took real steps to mean what those words say. That was over 30 years ago. It’s still a tough image.
