We just finished a bond hearing for a young woman from El Salvador who is applying for asylum in the United States because of a fear of returning back to her country. We had her case from the beginning and helped her pass her Credible Fear Interview.

After winning phase 1, the government placed a $12,000 bond for her but her family could not afford to pay it. They hired us to reduce it.
After turning down an offer from the government for a $7,000 bond we fought her case in front of the immigration judge and received a $6,000 bond.

The judge told the client to thank us for our work because we did a wonderful job for her. It was a great feeling and the client felt proud.
We do not just take any deal. We fight for our clients and we treat them like family. If you know of anyone who could use our services, anyone who needs immigration assistance, please have them immediately contact us!

You know country conditions in El Salvador are horrifyingly bad when their own Supreme Court declares violent street gangs such as the Mara Salvatrucha ("MS-13") and the 18th Street Gang as terrorist groups. The government is now trying to put measure in place to stop these groups but frankly it does not work and will not work. The corruption at even the highest levels of government in countries such as El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras make any efforts to resolve the instability in the country futile.

An interesting article on the intense and recent debate regarding citizenship through birthright. Many undocumented immigrants come to the United States and have a child born here. The child is now an American citizen and has a right to petition their undocumented parent(s) when they turn 21.

Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton defends her stance on deporting child migrants. Although her argument is that Central American families should not be sending their children on such a dangerous journey to the United States she fails to acknowledge WHY they come in the first place. Many of these families do not have a choice. They are being targeted, persecuted, harmed, extorted, raped, and killed by dangerous cartel groups and other gang organizations.

Monday is the deadline for anyone from Sierra Leone to apply for Temporary Protected Status (TPS). If you know anyone from Sierra Leone please refer them to this page and have them contact The Law Office of Armand Jawanmardi, PLLC for more information regarding TPS. This is a great opportunity for those without status from Sierra Leone to take advantage of this program!

So much of the great work that The Law Office of Armand Jawanmardi, PLLC handles involves working with unaccompanied immigrant children. These children often arrive in the United States with the most horrific stories. This is a great article discussing the plight of these children and how they begin accustoming themselves to America.
