Getting here couldn't really be much easier. Direct metro access or quick car/Uber ride. Relatively small airport. Security lines can be long at times. Food choices are OK. Car rental places are a walk from the terminal. If only there were direct international flights.

Oh, how I love DCA. As a DC native of 8 years, DCA is hand down the best airport in the DC area. You can hop on the Yellow/Blue line and get off seconds from the check-in area. The architecture is beautiful and they have many pre and post check-in restaurants. In fact, one restaurant let my wife and I host our engagement party on their second floor so we could watch the planes land (We were flying in from Charleston so an airport party made sense; and we love to travel and love airports). DCA makes you feel like you belong in DC. Now only if they had international flights...

Beautifully designed airport. The architecture of the main hall is magnificant. The terminals, baggage claim and check-in are all very well laid out and easy to navigate. Getting there is very easy either by car or metro.

How are so many of you reviewers so DUMB? My flight was delayed? They made me throw out my cosmetics? SHUTTTTTTT UPPPPPPPP... This is a tiny domestic airport.. old? yes... but super convenient.. If you want a shopping mall, then go to one... If you want a perfect flying experience, head to Asia.. Until then - SHUTTTTTTT UPPPPPPPP

This is my usual go-to airport when I'm in the area. I use to travel all over the world. It is metro accessible, has many dining options both before and after the security check point and maybe my favorite part has free WiFi. There's a Ben's Chili Bowl location here. One of the few in the city other than the original place and in Nationals Park that I'm aware of. For those of you not from the area it's a famous landmark in the area with great food. No traveler in this day and age can go too long without WiFi at least. I've never been to any of the airline lounges here, but there is a USO lounge for military at this airport.

"DCA" or "National" (it's never called Reagan by locals) is definitely the best place to fly in or out of when you're living in or visiting DC. It's immediately accessible via the Yellow and Blue lines (though watch out on weekends when Yellow line trains are running on a limited schedule). I have TSA PreCheck, so I can't really speak to how the normal security lines are, but the PreCheck here lines can get pretty long considering DC's home to a lot of frequent travelers.

By far the best choice to fly in and out of DC. Flights are sometimes more expensive than BWI or Dulles, but the airport's ease of access from the city and less hectic environment far outweigh any potential cost savings. The main hall with its soaring ceilings is a pleasure to walk through.

Efficient airport. Easily accessible. 4 stars because... Airports are just always always frustrating occasionally. I had. Ava's experience with flying with a per here to move out west.
