Help! I'm Repeating a Foundations Cycle!

It’s fascinating that modern society conditions us for constant, rapid change. We rarely have time to go deeply into an idea or to cement a skill in our memories by doing it again. As classical, Christian educators, we strive to resist this impulse to do something once, check it off, and move on. In Scripture, we are continually exhorted to know God deeply, to meditate on His words, and to remember. One way to do this is to study God’s Word. The other way to learn about Him is to study His world. What an amazing gift! Join us for this discussion as veteran Foundations parents share how they approached a Foundations Cycle on the second (or third!) time through.

CCP Free Parent Webinar TOMORROW
"Ten Ways to Destroy the Imagination of Your Children"
Thursday, September 7th, 2017 - 8:00pm-9:00pm EST
Register: http://ow.ly/DUc530eX8ZO

Years ago, Classical Conversations gave the book Ten Ways to Destroy the Imagination of Your Children away at summer parent practicums. Jennifer Courtney, our Parent Education Director shares that when one of her children saw it on their coffee table, she gasped, “Mother! Why are you reading that? That’s a horrible idea!” The author is actually arguing for the preservation of childhood innocence and creativity, a point he makes vividly by describing all the bad ideas society has tried in the last few decades. He shows how these trends have eroded childhood and offers us many ways to reclaim it in our own families. Esolen is a masterful storyteller. Put your feet up and join us for this inspiring discussion.
