We were delighted to be joined by close to 20 enthusiastic members of the public for our talk this weekend on the inspirational Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. It came as no surprise to find the crowd intrigued and engaged as we explored her life, work and unique legacy.

The talk offered nuggets of wisdom for everyone to take home. Ranging from the nature and origin of the universe and humanity to practices for the development of moral character and the hidden potential of the human being, Blavatsky's work provided many insights and cause for discussion over tea and cake!

Thanks to all who came and for all the great questions. Make sure not to miss our future talks by following our website or liking our Facebook page. See you next time!

Helena Petrovna Blavatsky: Her Extraordinary Life and Works

Free Public Talk :: Sat, May 7th at 3.00pm

Enigmatic, brilliant, unusual: Helena Petrovna Blavatsky travelled seven times around the world. Bearing a message of inner life which was against the current of popular thought, she had a great impact on the thinkers and the intellectuals of her time. She brought to us today the path of discipleship and initiation as ways of transformation, teachings of masters whose names are lost in time.

We live in a time where social convention and going with the majority often takes precedence over acting based on deepest values and beliefs. People often feel overwhelmed by the scale of difficulties we face in our world. They feel that the little bit they can do won't make a difference. However, if everyone contributes, we can make a difference.

Ahead of our talk this Saturday on the Power of the Mind, and how independent thought and creative imagination can impact our lives, here's an article on how thinking for ourselves can make a difference: http://www.acropolis.ie/articles/culture-creatives-and-the-wisdom-culture/

Another great celebration of World Philosophy Day bringing a modern perspective to the timeless teachings of antiquity. We were delighted to welcome 59 attendees over 3 talks who entered into discussion on topics such as dialogue, tolerance and the spirit of Renaissance. Between each talk the cafe was a buzz of chat, coffee, cakes and quizzical minds. Thanks to all who attended and if you missed this one, follow our page to keep up to date on our next public events. Over the coming weeks we'll be working hard at organising a whole new series of exciting public events for the new year. We look forward to seeing you then!
