Thou Shalt Game has become one of the premiere destinations for any type of gaming over the last couple of years. Now that the owner is back in the store, the store has expanded and taken on a new life. There's plenty of space to play both tabletop, card, and miniatures games, with a couple of permanent tables for Warhammer, Infinity, etc. Also the place is usually packed with a small crowd of gamers, mostly Magic, but you can almost always get a casual game going. If you're into Magic, this is pretty much the best spot in town. The cases are always stocked with both Modern and Legacy/Vintage staples, and browsing through the $1-3$ bins you can usually find some great stuff tucked away. The only downsides here are things that plague any entertainment retail store - understaffing is an issue with so many players wanting so much product. The store seems to be a victim of its own success in this regard, and if you're looking for specific stuff, Fridays and Saturdays probably aren't the best day to purchase. The staff maintains an cheery, upbeat attitude and keeps everyone in line engaged in conversation and distracted, which goes a long way towards easing the waits. the staff also does a great job at being inclusive and friendly. I was greeted by name on my second visit, which was a shockingly nice surprise, as TSG has a huge crowd most weekends. Also, the playerbase here, just like any store, is hit or miss, but Jesse (the store owner) does a much better job than most store owners about policing the tables and keeping the language and personal attacks to a minimum, and making sure it stays a family friendly environment. Like the name says, it's a gaming-focused store. If you're looking for comics, TSG may not be the best place to hit, though they do stock most of the newest titles. TSG seems primarily focused on being a great game destination. They have tons of product for gamers to enjoy, including some boutique minis and designer table-top games. Events are superbly well organized. Other stores definitely need to take a page from their playbook on how well TSG manages their FNM and Commander tournaments, and how smoothly they run large (30-50 person) events. The "new and improved" TSG should definitely be top of list for any serious gamer in the Temecula area.

This place offers a nice atmosphere and helpful staff that can answer any of your MTG questions. However, these guys are generally at the higher end of the spectrum when it comes to card prices. They do offer discounts for "loved" cards which is nice. If you want a nice smelling, clean place, with plenty of tables to play mtg (or other games) TSG cannot be beat! The only thing that could make it better would be the addition of a mini bar :) Edit: They also offer free prize support when big EDH games get going! Not to shabby!

One of the absolute best experiences I have had in a Magic the Gathering Store I've ever had.

Best MTG store you can visit. Reasonable prices with discounts on different conditions of cards. Very organized and friendly staff.

The owner and staff were very friendly, and willing to answer questions when I first came in. They didn't have the games I was looking for but offered to special order them for me. After telling me they would arrive in 3 days, I showed up only to be told that they weren't in and nobody had bothered to let me know. They gave me a new arrival date. I again showed up at the shop to find the games not there. The next date they gave me, I called ahead to make sure they had arrived. I was told they did, so I drove to the shop, they weren't there. The next day they called to let me know they had arrived, I drove to the store again and only 2 of my 3 games had arrived (2 weeks after I placed the order). By this time I had left multiple phone messages and in-person messages with employees asking to speak to the owner. None were returned, and none of the employees could even give me a date when my third game would arrive. Nearly 3 weeks after my initial order, I finally showed up and happened to find the owner. Only then did he let me know that the game was back ordered, meaning that every one of the arrival dates I was given was simply made up by whatever employee I was talking to. I really wanted to like this shop, but the lack of organization and communication made it very frustrating to do business with them. Even asking an employee to look up my order entailed a 10 minute wait while they typed a full novel into the computer.

I moved to Temecula from San Diego and I can honestly say it's tough finding a place that sells magic singles let alone provides friendly customer service. I can't believe someone else rated this a one. The store owner not only answered all my questions for quite a while he also answered many of them two hours past closing and played my friend a game of street fighter. The customers who shop there all seemed to know each other and there was a free magic rules guide and spider man sketchbook for customers. A++
