I absolutely love getting story leads from the coaches on this project. Here is a sample of an email I sent them with a link to where we can collect story leads. For me, I love going digital in that I can access this document where I am at. #anytimeaccess

Greetings ladies: Here is how we can collect story leads. As coaches you will see a lot of GREAT stories. Those are leads and I would love to know about them. Not all leads become stories, but stories ALL start from leads.

Any FREE blogging spots/websites where students can enter  the blog with an access code, but keep others out?  I have a teacher who wants to use a blog like atmosphere, but we are finding a lot of the go to items are blocked by our district:  Google Plus Community, Google Websites, etc.  He doesn't want to use Google Classroom either.  Ideas?

Marco mentioned the idea of having a video showcased at the start of PD day or staff meetings.  With all three schools, that isn't possible, but I can try to accommodate for when I can do that.  I recently created a piece for MMS, and here is one or Pathways Middle School.  I am only their storyteller, but I am very close to the two coaches. This is key in me finding and creating stories in buildings that I am no physically at.   This was a great way for me to meet all the teachers again at Pathways Middle School and to show them how fast their time can be with a storyteller.  

Needs and Concerns: Each school has similar victories, challenges and needs and concerns.  However, this video really is about celebrating the awesome opportunity this school has as well as planning for awesome possibilities.  I am happy that this piece and the last one were created for the school's needs.  We storytellers have an awesome opportunity to create a vision, future, and hope with our powerful films.  

Victory: This was shot Friday after school  and edited today- I am please with the ability to publish fast.  I used the same  music for this school's piece too- so I could save time.  Victory: Not perfect, but I did manage to manipulate the buttons on my camera and use the light meter on my phone to shoot the A Roll.  The B Roll wasn't shot Friday, but was from a long time ago.  Challenge: I made  huge "wind" mistake where you can here the wind outside.  :(  Learning though!

As a storyteller I have found that a story can help spread a good infectious momentum in a building.  With the amount of broken Samsung devices, it is easy for the staff to throw in the towel and call it quits.   I wanted this piece to be about finding those infectious teachers who are still powering through.  This video won't be available for long since it really is a piece for just this school.  They used it to start a staff meeting.  Not sure how it went, but not really my gig.  Sometimes we don't see the reaction of our story....and I am starting to see the beauty of that.  This was a VERY fast story I filmed before Winter Convening-I feel like my shots would have been more in focus with the skills I learned in San Fran.  It isn't all that pretty but the message with DP vocabulary/terms is in it: Victory, Challenges, Needs and Concerns.
