Imaginative Pan-Latin dishes in a space dominated by art & relics from Central & South America.- Google
"We LOVE Aji - the food, the service, the decor."
"Plus the interior and ambiance is refreshing along with the alfresco dinning."

We came Sunday afternoon, they only had a brunch menu so we ordered Ropa Vieja and Tacos al Pastor with aji tuna for appetizer. The tuna was good, but when they brought the main plates everything went downhill. 80% of the Ropa Vieja was fried potatos, and the rest was a bunch of sauce, eggs, and disgusting meat. The tacos were al fried and disappointing... We are Venezuelans, and we know what good Latín food is. If you're looking for fresh, authentic latin american fusion food - DONT go here.

Creative menu! My ceviche had plantains, salmon and jalapeños! The presentation was lovely as was the atmosphere. The tilapia taco was good, but could have used a touch more color. It tasted great but lacked a bit in presentation. The mussels were also well seasoned and tasted great, but could have been a bit more plump themselves. Otherwise great overall - 4 out of 5 stars!

This was one of the best dinners I've had in years. Every dish was familiar and yummy but then turned up a notch into something creative and intense. Everything we tried was so good, and the bread was amazing. I can't wait to go back -- it's one of my new favorites!

It was so disappointing, the only good thing that we ate yesterday was the guacamole and the sweet potatoes fries. All of the meats that we order were unflavored. I expected more, there is nothing "Latin" about the restaurant.

A rude bunch of folks. Didn't look particularly busy, yet they told us to go away. We asked if there was a wait and they happily told us there was no room and we couldn't wait for a table either. A sad experience all together. I assume that since we had our children 18, 12, & 10 yrs that they really didn't see us as their target demo.

Good Latin American food but be prepared for Latin American service...5-10 minutes to get greeted by a waiter, get water, 15 min for a drink, 45 minutes for food, etc.

I've only ever been here for breakfast. I'm a breakfast fanatic, and in a city with some pretty great breakfast joints, Aji is one of the best. I don't know why, but at a place which is definitely out of my price range usually, they have very reasonable breakfast prices in the $10-13 range. Whenever our breakfast club wants to feel "fancy" or wants particularly great food across the board, we make an aji trip. Get the burrito - twice the size of chipotle with three times the flavor. The wait staff could be a tad more attentive though... maybe its cause we dont look rich enough...

I'm really surprised to see some of these reviews that don't give AJI an excellent score all the way across. We LOVE Aji - the food, the service, the decor. It has been "true blue" for us ever since we moved to Boulder 8 years ago. What is there not to like? The cost is really reasonable (especially for Boulder). And the new menu ranks way up there among all Boulder restaurants. Whoever said this place serves "mexican" food...have you ever been to Mexico? I've never tasted these flavors in Mexico! What's also nice about AJi is that it is intimate in an open room way, meaning there's space around the tables and they are only 2 table deep. No dense-pack here and it's not noisy. I'd go here just to have a Mojita and house salad. Nothing better. I give Aji and double thumbs up!
