BEWARE ! ! Don't walk but run from this place! Not uncommon to hear gunshots at night. $10/day fee for late rent (i.e. 10 days = $100 in late fees). If you go to a month-month after lease expires, my rent, on a 550sf, 1 bd, 1 BA, went from $435 to $500 if I didn't sign a new 9 mo lease. No notice if you forget. I got a call at 9:00 a.m. telling me I had until 5 p.m. the same day to sign a new lease. I was at work when I got call, I work till 6 p.m. and they would not let me have until the next morning to think/sign new lease; plus I still had to give 30 days notice so was forced to pay the $500. Keep a copy of your move-in condition report and pics if possible to be supped to them and yourself, they conveniently lost mine and held me responsible for everything. There was a bleach stain on rug documented at move-in so I had to pay for a new rug. There were used asthma inhalers in bottom drawer of fridge when I moved in (pic #2). Apartment was very dirty at move-in as if never cleaned between tenants Dirty fan blades, pic #3). They don't take cash or credit cards for rent payments, only check, cashiers check or money orders, even for small amounts like $5 or less. Keep your proof of payments; they will give you an amt, then put a notice on your door telling you that you were a few dollars short. Low quality interiors hardware (handles, drawer fronts, etc.) Loose missing or falling apart (pic #1 and #4 (missing closet knob)). Very small hot water heater. A "warm" (not hot) shower lasts less than ten mins so if there's two people, you will likely run short on warm water and takes almost an hour to reheat. Door seals don't. You can see light around door and wind and blowing snow come through "seals". Blowing wind moves the window shades with windows completely closed. J Window screens (screwed in from outside - so can't be removed) missing or bent allowing bugs in if windows are open. No AC. One overhead fan in living rm. DO NOT MOVE HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE TO. Also, mailboxes vandalized on regular basis resulting in stolen mail. Get a P.O. Box instead. No coverd or reserved parking so may have to park some distance from your apt. Drug dealers regularly in front and police respond to only about 40% of calls. Worst place I've EVER lived. If you take a chance, good luck. Watch your kids if outside alone. Find a better place for your money and your family/self.

They don't call it The Hideout for nothing and that's not a joke. If you don't know just where it is, you'll probably pass it out once or twice before you find it. It's just a little dive that almost has something going on most every night. Mostly locals but they are very friendly. It's a nice little hangout bar.
