We love Salvador Molly's. It is always an incredible eating experience. You start out with peanuts in the shell you throw on the floor. The place is extremely unique and festive. Everyone who works there is very friendly. You have a great eating adventure with food from New Orleans, Jamaica, Hawaii and Ethiopia and many other places. I wish I could try everything on the menu. The food is great portions and very reasonable. You will not regret eating there, and will go back and back again as we do.

While I've never done the Great Balls of Fire challenge there is still lots to love about Salvador Molly's. The baja fish tacos are the best fish tacos that I've found in Portland. We also really like Pele's Volcano sandwich. They offer a unique collection of dishes from around the world. It's a great stop if you are in Multnomah Village or looking for a spicy food challenge.

Salvador Molly's, the cornucopia of food cultures under one roof, has a menu option for everyone. The food in general is mediocre and the atmosphere is quite unique, with its hodge podge islander-themed decor. Checkout happy hour, it's definitely worth checking out if you've never been!

I dug it. I had a funky Caribbean steak dish which was wonderful and I got to try a Cuban Sandwich and another tasty dish. If you like spicy, funky food, definitely come here.

Great balls of fire are more like great balls of dirt, or sawdust; they are very hot but so is pepper spray. Bland, confusing, flavorless, poorly prepared food. Cramped, awkward, uncomfortable seating; try to sit outside if possible. The cost would still be high even if the food wasn't terrible.

Salvador's was featured in Man vs. Food so when I moved to Portland, I had to come and visit for the Great balls of fire challenge. Fried habenero balls? How can you go wrong? Definitely didn't disappoint. Look me up on the Wall of Flame. I'm up there somewhere. The place can get pretty crowded considering the small space. But the atmosphere is very eclectic and vibrant. Just like the food. I get the sense it is a fusion of Caribbean and Latin flavors that work really well. Every dish I've tried is really well prepared, full of flavor, and large portions. You definitely can't go wrong with the food. This specific location is at the end of a very small strip mall so parking is extremely limited. I would recommend parking around the corner behind the restaurant where its easier to maneuver.

Looooongtime fan. Never a bland dish. Truth be told, the tamales that started it all aren't what they used to be (and that's a sad thing) and my Cajun martini is off the menu (they'll still make it through). But it's still my all time favorite restaurant. Damned cheap and tasty happy hour runs twice a day. If you like to sear your taste buds, their Great Balls of Fire are legendary (the legends are true!) If I ever get married, I'm absolutely having them cater (which they do btw). Their lunch menu burritos are my desert island food. I would gladly make them my entire diet for all eternity. If you're boring and hate flavor and spice, go elswhere. Otherwise, get it!
