Earlier this year we moved to Pontneddfechan, just inside the southern boundary of the Brecon Beacons National Park, in the area known as Waterfall Country. Just down the hill we're on is the former Waterfall Centre, sadly no longer in operation. From there is one of the best waterfall walks, the Elidir trail. A very short drive away is Dinas Rock and the Gunpowder trail, and the famous Four Falls walk containing the Sgwd-yr-Eira, the Snow Waterfalls. And on another short drive is Henrhyd Falls, the highest waterfall in South Wales. And so on and so on! We're looking forward to many years exploring the Brecon Beacons. To see why, just watch some of these videos. If you only have time for one or two, be sure to watch Iolo's Brecon Beacons, these are amazingly well-done BBC documentaries.
