A Prediction: 2020 the year of (PC-)BSD on the desktop
I am going to make a prediction right now that FreeBSD is going to take off in a big way on or before 2020, perhaps even to the point where it threatens Linux Desktop share. This is of course a bold claim, however before you automatically dismiss me, consid...

RIP Egon Spengler, or at least... in the containment unit

anybody else find it sad that it's impressive when a search engine actually returns only relevant pictures with only two images that don't belong and they have a logical link to the search term... and even more impressive with safe search totally off... in 2014

For those wondering... this wasn't google image search but bing

THE REAL COST OF DELISTING THE GRAY WOLVES:
WOLF MANAGEMENT POLICY IN THE STATES OF THE U.S.A.
HAS BECOME A WOLF TROPHY HUNT "FREE FOR ALL",
VERY THINLY VEILED UNDER THE GUISE
OF PROTECTING RANCHING INTERESTS

Wolves were rescued from the brink of extinction in the 1970s.
But in 2011, the federal government began stripping their protection under the Endangered Species Act, transferring "management" to the states. Now 1,705 wolves have already been slaughtered in just six states and wolves are about to lose federal protection nationwide.

Wolf Myths & Facts
Information the wolf hunters and trappers don’t want to believe and don’t want you to know

MYTH:  There are plenty of gray wolves in America...over 100,000.
FACT:  There are likely fewer than 7,000 gray wolves left in the entire lower 48 states. Rough population estimates by state, as of May 2013, are:  Minnesota 3,000, Michigan 650, Wisconsin 750-800, Montana 650, Idaho 750, Wyoming 325, Oregon 46, Washington 30.

Meanwhile the federal government reported that 216 wolves were killed by federal Wildlife Service agents because they were attacking livestock, The Los Angeles Times reported.

Here are the stats on wolf trophy hunter kills and licenses sold for the "privilege" of gunning down a wolf , state by state:

IDAHO:
Wolf population estimates for 2013: 750
Wolf "Harvest" totals from 2011 to 2012 : 374

MICHIGAN:
Wolf population estimates for 2013: 650 Wolves
Wolf "Harvest" or Wolf Hunt totals from 2011 to 2012 :74

MINNESOTA:
Wolf population estimates for 2013: 3,000 Wolves
Wolf "Harvest" or Wolf Hunt  totals from 2011 to 2012 :400

MONTANA:
Wolf population estimates for 2013: 650 Wolves
Wolf "Harvest" or Wolf Hunt  totals from 2011 to 2012 : 255

OREGON:
Wolf population estimates for 2013: 46 Wolves
Wolf "Harvest" or Wolf Hunt  totals from 2011 to 2012 :260

WASHINGTON:
Wolf population estimates for 2013: 30 Wolves
Wolf "Harvest" or Wolf Hunt  totals from 2011 to 2012 :13 ( Wedge Pack in its entirety )

WISCONSIN:
Wolf population estimates for 2013: 750 - 800 Wolves
Wolf "Harvest" or Wolf Hunt  totals from 2011 to 2012 : 117

WYOMING:
Wolf population estimates for 2013: 325 Wolves
Wolf "Harvest" or Wolf Hunt  totals from 2011 to 2012 :74

From these statistics, it would appear the the USFWS is not working in the majority USA public interest, but rather that you are turning a blind eye to us, and catering to the minority sportsman's hunting associations.

This is a disgrace to all that America stands for.
Your actions have rendered the United States as shamed to the rest of the world who value the Gray Wolves that have fought to recover in our country after we drove them off this landscape in the 1970s.

Please keep the Gray Wolves listed as endangered under the Endangered Species Act.

Thank you.

yeah.. had to share this
Our brilliant government, in all its glory, is on the way to delisting Mexican Gray wolves as an endangered species, with only 75 of these wolves left in the wild.  Why?  Money and the livestock business, that's why.  The government has not met their own imposed rules stating how many Wolves must be in the wild to delist this species, because representatives are being paid off so that the cattle industry can have yet more reasons to murder more animals.

Please take all of one minute out of your day to submit a comment on Regulations.gov stating that these animals should continue to be protected.

Have I ever mentioned the fact that I hate that the UEFI standard uses FAT32 instead of a real filesystem?  You know one with journaling, error correction, and that isn't completely fragile...
