Despite snow showers outside of my window (Wash D. C. suburb) I'd like to think warm and Springtime. Here' s my recent small floral painting reminding us that Spring is on it's way.

"Unfolding"- the peony bud gently releasing the full potential of its flower. This painting captures the soft caress of petals as it gently unfolds.

Thanks very much for your Bootstrap tutorial.  It is quite remarkable, and I learned a lot.

amazing story of how one young man copes with partial blindness
Winchester Fixer Richard Wheeler, 26,* says he's often accused of lying about being blind because he's still independent. This film is part of his campaign to show that visual impairment is not always black and white. With the desire to tackle negative misconceptions surrounding vision loss, Richard shows the importance of seeing from another’s perspective.

The killing of Cecil the Lion angered and saddened me. It inspired me to create Cecil's portrait and a short video/mini documentary of Cecil’s life discussing concerns about endangered species and trophy hunting.

Thanks for the post on mindset.  I stay positive by the practice of yoga and meditation.  Selling art is tough.  I've sold art through galleries, attended ArtExpo in NYC, gotten a small gallery that sold 1 piece, but for me the most consistent in terms of selling art was through commissions.  However commissions are not the most emotionally satisfying way to do it, because you are commissioned to do someone else's idea and someone else's passion.
