I am a medical journalist with a portfolio spanning television, radio, print and online platforms. Currently, I am Managing Editor of the ABC News Medical Unit in New York. My invited appearances include guest lecturing at the Tufts Summer Institute on Digital Strategies for Health Communication and serving as a panelist at the Association of Health Care Journalists (AHCJ) 2011 annual conference session on patient and health care consumer empowerment. Prior to joining ABC News, I was editor of Asia's first-ever internationally-distributed consumer magazine on cosmetic surgery, which is published in three languages.

If you have ever been interested in scuba and you want a learning experience that is safe, comprehensive, thorough and enjoyable -- Scubaguru is the place to go. I have been wanting to learn these skills for years, but I wanted to avoid huge classes and sketchy resort offerings. Scubaguru offered the individualized instruction and huge SAFETY emphasis I was looking for. the instructors really take their time to explain not only what to do, but why it is important. No cutting corners here. By the time we hit the open water, all of us felt confident enough in our skills to have a blast. I really can't imagine learning scuba any other way. We will definitely continue to work with Scubaguru as we progress as divers. Wish I could add another star!
