Question from Ron.

Hi, I am a new Real Estate Investor who owns a single family home that is managed by a Property Manger. I received the first check from the PM that includes the Rent + security deposit, minus the PM fess. I have setup QB with Chart of Accounts for Rental income, Security deposit, and PM fees. I have also setup a class for this property. I am not sure how to enter payments from the PM. I started to create a Customer which would be the property. Then a Job that would be the tenant, but I am not receiving a check from the tenant. This is where I am stuck. Is the PM the tenant and a vendor. Everything is included in the PM check. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ron

Question from Lacey

Hello, I’m trying to reconcile a credit card that hasn’t been reconciled in over a year but I do not want to make any changes to last year. Is there a way to reconcile the card without messing up the closed year?
