Canadian Music Trade is sad to confirm the news that Jon Long has passed away. He was a much loved member of the Toronto music community, and the son of Long & McQuade co-founder Jack Long, as well as brother of Long & McQuade President Steve Long and VP Jeff Long. Jon was a longtime fixture of the Long & McQuade Bloor Street location in Toronto, and was fixture in the city’s music clubs as a drummer and regular jam organizer. Those wishing to pay their respects can find additional information at http://bit.ly/2r5mGlW
Many notes of condolences and memories of Jon have been flooding social media over the last couple of days.
