Construction continues on our new Emergency Care Center. Crews are outside working on painting and window framing and inside working on the ductwork for the air conditioning system and drywall. Each day brings us closer to completion. We can’t wait to open the new ECC for our community!

The volunteers at the Manatee Memorial Foundation Auxiliary Thrift Shop, 4517 Manatee Ave. W. here in Bradenton, are getting ready for tomorrow’s 50% off everything in the store sale from 9am - 4pm. Congratulations to Daniel Burroughs, Student Nurse Apprentice (SNAP), Cardiac Floor, for being named our June Employee of the Month! Daniel started as a Monitor Tech three years ago and has recently transitioned to the role of SNAP as he pursues his nursing degree. Daniel provides excellent care to patients with his attention to detail. He keeps a positive attitude and always goes above and beyond. We are proud to have Daniel as part of our team!

Congratulations to our Chest Pain Committee for receiving the 2018 Mission Lifeline® Gold Quality Award for the fourth year from the American Heart Association. Congratulations to Nicelle Viruet, Senior Phlebotomist, Laboratory for being selected the first “Star of the Night” through our new monthly Night Shift Recognition Program. Nicelle was nominated for this award by the NICU Unit for coming to the rescue of an infant. She walked staff through a rare procedure. She had a willing attitude and shared her expertise. Nicelle, you are a shining star!
