Why Entrepreneurs Fail: 18 Business Winners Explain Their Biggest Fails. This is a good article for any entrepreneur. I especially recommend people take note of Fail #8: Dividing Focus Between Too Many Projects. In my opinion this fail kills more startups than anything else, aside from possibly cashflow neglect.

I just read some great advice from one of the mentors I follow, Chris Lema. I wish more entrepreneurs knew this simple fact. Check it out :

"How to make money from your expertise requires a different expertise completely. It requires a framework. That’s right. A framework. If you can’t turn your experience into a system or structure, if you can’t depict it in a schematic or drawing, if you can’t show people a framework that holds everything together, then it’s too overwhelming to them to grasp. I can’t tell you all the smart people I know who can’t make a dollar from their knowledge while others out there peddle a simple system. All because of a framework."

Check out Dave McClure's Startup Metrics for Pirates: AARRR! It's pretty much all you need to know to make your startup work, and is still as relevant now as it was 10 years ago (he isn't the founder of +500 Startups for nothing!)

And how cool is the Ignite presentation platform he's guesting on - 5-minute long presentations with 20 slides and that advance automatically every 15 seconds. It's the presentation equivalent of a haiku! So much cooler than those hour-long TED talks. ;)

I like this list of Irene's. Especially the items setting aside time for email, scheduling your day the night before, and blocking off time for your Big Picture. Check it out.

Recently I had the pleasure of mentoring a group of switched on young international business students from Monash University Malaysia, a branch campus of the Australian Monash University, right here at Ginza Hub.

I imagined that these young Malaysian, Chinese, Indian and Bangladeshi students would be bored silly listening to executives from the likes of Panasonic, etc. drone on about corporate economics and such, so I thought I’d shake things up a bit by introducing guest entrepreneur Tia Haygood and also by asking them to create their own startups right there during my presentation.

The results were awesome!
