Virtualising will definitely change how we thing about IoT gateway software, which will start to look at lot more like cloud software. Looking forward to it.

At #ARM we are making it even easier to get started with Internet of Things software. A free Developer Version of our NanoService device to cloud solution was just made available. This includes the latest support for CoAP and the OMA Lightweight M2M standards, with both the cloud server and device library:

https://silver.arm.com/browse/SEN00

ARM mbed (www.mbed.org) is bringing embedded development into the modern age. I recently gave a bunch of mbed compatible boards away at the IETF. Last month we integrated CoAP OMA Lightweight Client support into mbed with an out of the box application and hosted cloud site. Great way to get started and then point the nodes at your own web service.

Good reason for embedded and IoT nerds to come by Santa Clara this month. Come and say hi at ARM TechCon! I will be around for the whole event, showing off the ARM Internet of Things solution with our partners.

Do you fall into one of these categories? --> ASIC/FPGA Engineers, Chip Architects & Designers, CIOs/CTOs, Design & Development Engineers, Embedded Software Engineers, Hardware Engineers, Software Architects.

If so, the ARM Technology Conference is a great place to enhance your skill set, learn about the latest technologies and network with others in the industry.

This short video gives you an idea of what to expect from the show. You can register at www.armtechcon.com

Zach, actually I will.   I've been researching IoT and your slides etc are very useful.   We're also holding a Linaro Connect in parallel at the same hotel.
