NEWLY RESCUED ORPHAN ELEPHANT On Sunday we received a new born calf into our care from the Wamba area - Northern Kenya. His mother had been shot multiple times and fatally wounded. The Kenyan Wildlife Service team called to the scene made the decision to euthanaise the mother and rescue her calf.

We have called the baby BARSILINGA after the area where he was found. We guestimate he is about 2 weeks old and he is already completely hooked on his Keepers seemingly disinterested at this stage with the other orphans.
