Contrary to several other people out there, I actually really adore Kent Theater. In an age of theatrical conglomerates, Kent stands out as a family owned and operated (you will always see the same girl in front taking tickets, who also does popcorn, sets displays, etc.) Prices are retro, at 5$/Wednesdays all day long, and something like 7$ every other day it's a steal! For a greater penny pinching experience, you can purchase the Groupon or Living Social deal for even more savings! Support your local theater, support your local community. Win-win.

This movie theater should be shut down! Its a crime to still have it open. There r so many reasons why Kent sucks.theres only 3 theaters, the screening is horrible!, and its so in unclean. I was watching the green hornet and the movie shut down... twice!! Like I said crime for it to be open. The only reason y people go there is because its cheap and local other. Thats should not be the reason y people go to Kent. The UA theater is amazing for a local Brooklyn theater. In fact I watched sherlock Holmes 2 in Kent it was so bad, the screen had lines going across. Half the time there was no color it was black and yellow, that I rewatched it in UA. For ur own sake never go to Kent. Even if it means not catching a movie that night! GO KNICKS!! And MAVERICKS!!

Went to see Skyfall. Could barely see it! With all the modern equipment out there they were still using the old projection booth - you could hear the film threading through the machine. Static sound all through the movie. And the movie was so dark we couldn't always tell who was involved in the scene. The print was sometimes a bit blurry also. It was like being at the movies back in the 50's again. We plan on watching the movie again when it comes out on DVD so we could see it in color instead of smeary drab.

A nice place to go see a movie cheaply. Not the cleanest but not disgusting ether, staff was nice, they still use real film which i was surprised to see but it has a nice feel to it and with 5$ dollar wednsdays and 8$ dollars on other days you're not going to find a better deal. There are only three screens so they don't have a big selection, check whats playing before you go

The ticket was a good deal, but once inside the seats were ripped and the facility smelled awful. Out of a 1 - 10, I would give it a 2.
