Cinderella and her Enchanted Carriage

"Alyssa is 4 years old and has Rett Syndrome. She loves everything "princess" and I wanted to find a way for her to have a magical night and, for one night, forget about her wheelchair and enjoy being a kid."

My family and I have visited the Cattle Baron about 6 times a year since they opened. Last weeks dinner included I noticed the service has been slipping. Last night despite there only being 4 other tables in the lounge drinks ran and stayed empty, we were a mere 10 feet from the bar so we could see that the bartender and server were chatting/laughing with another friend who was sitting at the bar, no harm no foul it's not the end of the world, mom got up to get her attention her exact words were "yes I'm just busy at the moment" then she grabbed some wine and ran it over to another table who's wine was also empty. We were thinking busy doing what exactly, it was rather insulting as we could clearly see they were just friends chatting... again not the end of the world if that was the end of it. After waiting 50 minutes for food, bro made the comment how long it had been, I actually said to him, it's ok, that just means they are cooking everything fresh. I usually order the peppercorn and it takes a little longer. Well the peppercorn steak I ordered... medium/rare... should not have been served at all, it was so dryer that the Atacama desert, tougher than your mother in law, I needed a chainsaw, ya it was over cooked. No juice, no color just grey meat. Typically I wouldn't even complain, I LOVE peppercorn, my intent was to bring it to our servers attention when she came back to check up on us except 5....7.....8....10 minutes after she dropped our food off she still had not returned to check up on us. Now we already had to get up once so I'm thinking this is kind of ridiculous, (I convinced our group to skip Red Water Grill) So I walked to the server station by the bar, I find our waitress back turned having another chat with the same friend, she turns and asks me if everything ok... I'm thinking you wouldn't know I'm surprised you recognized me, I tell her my frustrations and ask to see the manager. 5 minutes later the manager shows up who was very polite, however it's been 15-20 minutes group is done eating, I ask him how the steak looks, he agrees it's "not even close to medium rare" well that was being generous, he offers to cook a new steak but given everyone has been done eating and that the last one took an hour we don't have the time we were already running late. I was surprised I had to ask before he offered to take it off the bill, I didn't want to have to pay $30 for something I wasn't going to eat. It was the only thing that came off our bill and I left hungry... Basically it was the bare minimum that they could have done... which they did.
