To cap off National Engineers Week, TYLI’s San Diego Office held their annual Engineers’ Breakfast. The breakfast is prepared by office and project managers as a "thank you" for all the hard work put in by the engineers and support staff.

T.Y. Lin International was awarded a three-year, $1.5 million contract to provide conceptual design services for the Wilmington Waterfront Pedestrian Bridge in Wilmington, Los Angeles, CA. Led by the Los Angeles office with support from the San Diego and Irvine offices, this is the firm’s first project with the Port of Los Angeles and strengthens TYLI’s position in the greater Los Angeles region. Services include bridge design, civil engineering and architecture. The project will improve access from Wilmington to the waterfront by constructing a new pedestrian bridge and enhance existing access to the Wilmington Waterfront Promenade.

The Sellwood Bridge Replacement project in Portland, Oregon, has won the Project of the Year and People’s Choice Awards in the 2017 Engineering Excellence Awards competition of the American Council of Engineering Companies of Oregon (ACEC Oregon). TYLI served as Prime Consultant, Final Design, on the project, working closely with the Project Owner, Multnomah County, design subconsultant CH2M, and Construction Manager/General Contractor, Slayden/Sundt Joint Venture.

T.Y. Lin International is providing construction management and inspection services for the $3.2-million Madison Street Canal Improvements project to accommodate the widening of Madison Street for the City of Indio. Work includes canal diversions, temporary and new bridge structures, sewer mains, jack and bore operations, utility relocations, and box culverts. TYLI CM staff continue to work with the Contractor, City of Indio, and involved agencies to complete this project.
