MikroMasch AFM probes are used to investigate anisotropic friction of graphene and bulk graphite. HQ:NSC19/Al BS is used to image different frictional macro domains in contact mode and Hi'Res-C15/Cr-Au is used (in tapping mode) to resolve their microstructure of highly regular superlattice of stripes with period of 4–6 nm. The MikroMasch HQ:NSC18 Probe Series is suitable for dynamic mode operations and provides high sensitivity to small forces.
