Thumb sucking can be a tricky problem for some children. While it is a natural comfort reflex, if carried on for too long it can cause dental problems. Here are some tips if your child is having trouble breaking the habit.
- Use positive reinforcement. A sticker on a chart for every day without sucking can go a long way!
- Occupy your child with activities that require them to use both hands.
- Engage them in the process by explaining why it is bad, what can happen, and your plan to help them stop. #DentalFAQ

The most recent developments in toothpaste technology are in their whitening abilities. Whitening toothpastes can help with removing surface stains, but deeper stains will still need a deeper cleaning to remove. Any toothpaste will be fine for your teen as long as it's approved by the ADA and they're using it for 2 minutes, twice a day! #2min2x
