A group of passionate and proud faculty, staff and students came together to celebrate this past year’s achievements and reflect on a spectrum of experiences and knowledge gained through the NSF S-STEM BioScholar Grant. The students, all BioScholars in the program, reflected on their internships and networking opportunities. The exposure to a wide variety of career paths helped them discover areas they enjoyed (and sometimes areas they did not). All commented on the fact that the program opened their eyes and broaden their horizons to careers in STEM that may otherwise be foreign to them.

I AM PMC – Celebrating the Pine Manor Community.

This year we focused our activities on the College’s Mission and what each of us brings to the PMC community. The activities included an opportunity for each of us to reflect on our mission both personally and collectively. Members of the community were asked to write three words describing their experience at PMC. Students, faculty and staff displayed their statements and took pictures with “I AM PMC” sign. We also played games from around the world and enjoyed international foods (as well as foods from local ethnic restaurants) that was catered by the First Year Seminar team.

Pine Manor College is one of the most diverse colleges that I've seen. I enjoy the small classes because there is a great opportunity for the professors to work one on one with you. Everyone is really nice. I am happy that I chose this college for my undergrad education.

Pine Manor is amazing at helping its students be the best they can be... This was the only school that opened its doors wide open for me with all the help I needed. I feel extremely lucky to be here surrounded with such wonderful and competent staff. It is a privilege to attend this school. I have learned so much during my time here and hope I can continue my studies here.

I couldn't have chosen a better college for myself. PMC has one of the greatest Biology programs, and it was the only college that was willing to help me when I needed it. The fact that it's a very small school makes me have a very close relationship with everyone including staff and faculty.
