The annual Innovation Challenge at the Education Nation Summit spotlights early-stage Ed Tech entrepreneurs hoping to start the next big company for expanding student opportunities.  Teams are tested through a series of challenges with teachers, students, business leaders, and NBC News Talent, culminating in an exciting pitch contest live on the Summit stage. One team walks away with a $75,000 prize. The Innovation Challenge is sponsored by the Robin Hood Foundation and is supported by the NewSchools Venture Fund. The Robin Hood Foundation will award the prize.

Building on the success of the 2011 and 2012 competitions, this year’s Innovation Challenge is back with challenges aimed at testing the strength of the three teams’ ventures. CNBC Reporter Julia Boorstin hosts, with NBC News cameras following every step of the way.
