I love this place! The food is great, huge portions and they are so friendly and professional. The bowl drinks are awesome and the decor is like nothing else in the world! You can tell it is family that!

If you're into old 70's nautical themed places then this is your spot. Most of the booths are surrounded with fish tanks and old random nautical decor. The food here is great. If you come here before 4 PM I think their BBQ RIbs lunch special is somewhere between $6-$8. For presentation and tastes sake, try the amazing "Captain's Drink," which is a "bow of booze" and.....FIRE.

CLOSED. The furnishings have been purchased and should be showing up in a 2nd floor room of Clifton's downtown.

Dirty menus and table "bling" (those little plastic thingys with the specials on them!) The tacky decor is fun and expected, BUT keep it clean folks! Our server took 2 drink orders, left, came back and took a few more... Never returned for ANYTHING once our food which was about a 3 on a 10 scale and overpriced came....Then had the nerve to add on a tip since we were a large party. 1 cup of soup, 1 app, 1 meal, 1 drink= $70.00...ONLY the drinks salvaged the night!! (except for the one with the french fry in it...yea.)

Ok so after not coming to this place for years on a random whim when trying to think of a interesting place to take my girlfriend I remembered this place. I checked out the recent reviews and some did seem a little less than positive but still where else would i find this atmosphere! Although not in the best of neighborhoods we still made the detour. We went on a Sunday evening there was about a 10 minute wait. Not too bad. Still the same place I remembered. My only complaint upon walking in is the huge 33 year old fish. The paper on the tank assures customers he fits well yet the poor fish has to struggle to turn around in his tank. On to dinner. It is dim inside but not dark . It actually was alot brighter than I had remembered. Decor is quirky nautical, Hawaiian, and looks almost like the inside of a boat.We went all out ordered the rib dinners and one of the flaming bowls. Now while the bowls are pricey we both had a nice buzz going for only having one and with fire who can really complain. Ribs were good in taste but they seemed over cooked had loads of fat on them and almost rubbery. The salad was great there famous dressing is like thousand island with extra humph. Id say this place is still great for the atmosphere and yes a bit on the pricey side but come on how much do you think it costs to maintain and keep all those fish . My advice to Bahookas is buy better quality ribs and try not to overcook them. Service is OK.Oh and get your old fish a bigger tank to give customer piece of mind aside from what is written as a disclaimer. Other than that they border average but get the above for what the offer in ambiance.
