#Yoga is a broad subject that deals with the management of physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual states. It is a practice, a system to provide the understanding of an integrated human personality and a united human society. To this end, the yoga practitioners in the past, over thousands of years, developed a series of practices by which we could attain physical health, mental harmony and spiritual upliftment.

Yoga Nidra – the deepest of relaxations

Yoga Nidra is a systematic process of complete relaxation. We live in a time when stress seems to underlie our every action and even when we consciously relax there are tensions on all levels. Yoga Nidra takes you deeper, it releases tensions but also releases the causes of the tensions.

Movement and Stillness - a day of Satyananda Yoga

The day consisted of some very simple asana practice - with the theme that yoga need not be complicated/complex - along with some meditative techniques and some chanting of Gayatri mantra
We used breathing and relaxation along with conscious movement to become more aware of the inner and outer
It was a powerful day using simple techniques that allow one to find genuine stillness
Lovely group, enthusiastic participation
