This is ridiculous. Does the government want us to be more energy efficient or not? Up front cost is the biggest hurdle for most clients to make the switch to LED technology. Yet politicians make it even more expensive with redundant regulations. Not the most intelligent move for a society that desperately needs to be cleaner and more thrifty with their energy expenses.

"With a few exceptions, every project will need a building permit if involves the lesser of 40 fixtures in a year or 10% of the fixtures in the building. Parking garages are included, as are warehouses and other storage facilities.

To get that permit, you must have your plans (yes, plans with drawings) reviewed and certified by – you guessed it – an individual certified by the state. Then you need 2 more inspections and certifications during and after the project. The final step, acceptance phase certification must be performed by a state-licensed electrician or Professional Engineer."

Here's a recently published list of the most energy efficient nations.

"The inefficiency in the U.S. economy means a tremendous waste of energy resources and money.  ...the United States falls behind Canada, Australia, India and South Korea. These scores suggest that this list of countries may have an economic advantage over the United States because using less energy to produce and distribute the same economic output costs them less."

Accurate Technologies is dedicated to improving this disadvantage. Tired of throwing money away? Contact us.
