There's a new #recipe on the blog today.... whoop-de doo! These Moroccan Stuffed Romano Peppers are full of lemony giant couscous and harissa-braised chickpeas. Sounds fancy, but in fact they are a doddle to make and taste fabulous. Hop over to buff.ly/2hlQp98 for the recipe (link in bio). #vegan and #vegetarian

There's a new #recipe over on the blog today... Choc-Chip Macadamia Flapjacks (#vegan). Why not hop over for a look?! https://buff.ly/2xpfOog These chewy oat flapjacks are so simple to make, but taste decadent with buttery macadamia nuts and dark chocolate chips. Perfect with a nice cup of tea and a sit down.

This Vegan Coronation Coleslaw #recipe is now up on the blog - a creamy homemade coleslaw with delicate Indian spices, raisins and chopped apricots, finished with fresh coriander. An easy and impressive side dish for your #vegan BBQ or picnic, great in sandwiches or wraps, as a burger topping, or perfect as part of a 'goodness bowl'.

This is my Smokin' Bloody Mary - a late afternoon tipple to celebrate the start of the weekend, yippeee! @ketelone challenged me to create my 'Ultimate Bloody Mary' and if you're a regular follower you will know I like things smoky and spicy. So these ruby beauties have a generous dash of tabasco and a pinch of smoked paprika stirred through the tomato juice. Finally, a pinch of celery salt and squeeze of lime finish them off nicely. Alongside the clean, fresh flavour of the very best quality vodka, (none of your cheap supermarket plonk here), and the freshest tomato juice you can get hold of, this will knock the socks off most Friday afternoon cocktails! #ad #theketeloneway #ketelone

I was fascinated to receive this week the results from my @ancestryuk DNA results to find out where my ancient ancestors (from thousands of years ago) originated from. All I had to do was send a small saliva sample away to be tested, and the results were e-mailed a few weeks later. So what did the results show? Well my 'Ethnicity Estimate' from thousands of years ago is 30% Ireland / 24% Great Britain / 46% other regions. The Irish element was a surprise, and I was a little disappointed not to have some exotic heritage from the other side of the world, but it has been a fascinating process. To celebrate, I whipped up this Anglo-Irish fusion Veggie Shepherds' Pie with Champ Topping - a traditional British pie with that Irish favourite Champ piped on top. For the filling I used my lentil Shepherds' Pie base from the blog, and for the Champ topping just combined 500g mashed potato with 100g curly kale and 4 spring onions (both finely chopped in a food processor - no need to cook), stirred them together and piped on top of the pie. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes and voilà - an Irish-British supper! #ad #Vegan #AncestryDNA #DNADining

There's a new #recipe over on the blog - this Sticky Sweet Ginger Tofu with Baby Courgettes is a super-simple way to make restaurant-style tofu at home, thanks to @cauldronfoods new Sweet Ginger Tofu, which comes in a bag of its own marinade. #ad The baby courgettes and spring onions are charred in a griddle pan (or frying pan) and everything is coated in sesame seeds, fresh chilli and coriander for a lip-smackingly good better-than-takeaway supper. #vegan and #vegetarian as always.
