Answer this for me: Why would the big guy lobby to help millions of little guys compete with him?
IBM (owner of 30% of the 100,000 US software patents)
Microsoft (second-largest software patent portfolio)
Intel (long-time monopolizer of the microprocessor industry)
BP, DuPont, Dow, AstraZeneca, Pfizer (the kind of scumbags who patent molecules, genes found in nature, and medical tests)
Exxon, TI, GE
Various "financial services" organizations (Business method patents: the only kind more useless than software ones!)
I'm sure that in the spirit of free market capitalism, these corporations are inviting competition via a first-to-file system, right? That must be it! These are great lovers of competition and "mom and pop" shops.
AMD (Long pushed out of the industry by Intel. Wow, see how clear the motives are here?)
ACLU (constitution shmonstitution. We long ago forgot about "promoting science and the useful arts")
AMA (What, doctors think patenting medical procedures isn't a good thing? But, but, innovation! Without "innovators" you wouldn't know how to squeeze a boob for lumps)
