A little reminder to gently self-correct.and re-connect with beauty and infinite possibilities viewed-in-mind and felt deeply from the heart.

Article:
How complaining rewires your brain for negativity.

Research shows that most people complain once a minute during a typical conversation. Complaining is tempting because it feels good, but like many other things that are enjoyable -- such as smoking or eating a pound of bacon for breakfast -- complaining isn’t good for you.

Your brain loves efficiency and doesn’t like to work any harder than it has to. When you repeat a behavior, such as complaining, your neurons branch out to each other to ease the flow of information. This makes it much easier to repeat that behavior in the future -- so easy, in fact, that you might not even realize you’re doing it.

You can’t blame your brain. Who’d want to build a temporary bridge every time you need to cross a river? It makes a lot more sense to construct a permanent bridge. So, your neurons grow closer together, and the connections between them become more permanent. Scientists like to describe this process as, “Neurons that fire together, wire together.”

Repeated complaining rewires your brain to make future complaining more likely. Over time, you find it’s easier to be negative than to be positive, regardless of what’s happening around you. Complaining becomes your default behavior, which changes how people perceive you.

And here’s the kicker: complaining damages other areas of your brain as well. Research from Stanford University has shown that complaining shrinks the hippocampus -- an area of the brain that’s critical to problem solving and intelligent thought. Damage to the hippocampus is scary, especially when you consider that it’s one of the primary brain areas destroyed by Alzheimer’s.

Complaining is also bad for your health

While it’s not an exaggeration to say that complaining leads to brain damage, it doesn’t stop there. When you complain, your body releases the stress hormone cortisol. Cortisol shifts you into fight-or-flight mode, directing oxygen, blood and energy away from everything but the systems that are essential to immediate survival. One effect of cortisol, for example, is to raise your blood pressure and blood sugar so that you’ll be prepared to either escape or defend yourself.

All the extra cortisol released by frequent complaining impairs your immune system and makes you more susceptible to high cholesterol, diabetes, heart disease and obesity. It even makes the brain more vulnerable to strokes.

It’s not just you...

Since human beings are inherently social, our brains naturally and unconsciously mimic the moods of those around us, particularly people we spend a great deal of time with. This process is called neuronal mirroring, and it’s the basis for our ability to feel empathy. The flip side, however, is that it makes complaining a lot like smoking -- you don’t have to do it yourself to suffer the ill effects. You need to be cautious about spending time with people who complain about everything. Complainers want people to join their pity party so that they can feel better about themselves. Think of it this way: If a person were smoking, would you sit there all afternoon inhaling the second-hand smoke? You’d distance yourself, and you should do the same with complainers.

The solution to complaining

There are two things you can do when you feel the need to complain. One is to cultivate an attitude of gratitude. That is, when you feel like complaining, shift your attention to something that you’re grateful for. Taking time to contemplate what you’re grateful for isn’t merely the right thing to do; it reduces the stress hormone cortisol by 23%. Research conducted at the University of California, Davis, found that people who worked daily to cultivate an attitude of gratitude experienced improved mood and energy and substantially less anxiety due to lower cortisol levels. Any time you experience negative or pessimistic thoughts, use this as a cue to shift gears and to think about something positive. In time, a positive attitude will become a way of life.

THE GIFT

This is the gift: to learn, grow vast in expansiveness, knowing The Way, The Truth and The Life of living more vibrantly, complete, through letting go into the great mysterious whirl of reverse spiraling into ‘such’ deep depths, beyond, way beyond the hearts’ swell to the awareness of breaths’ death, a stillness, an endless wellness.

MEANS, METHOD, SKILL & RESULTS TO REVERSE TIME & GRAVITY

MEANS
"relentless awareness...'to your reactive thought(s)'"
(be a warrior of awareness; the guardian at the threshold to the temple sanctum)

METHOD
The setbacks are the ‘woe is me’ and the decisive, seemingly ’ah ha!’ emotionally profound moments to apply the method(s) of weightlessness, light-heartedness,
i.e., meditation; remembrance, study, pray, decrees, affirmations, laughter and joyousness in complete identifying with All-in All,… Being,… Presence,…Right Here, Right Now!

INTELLIGENT SKILL(S)
The direct and repetitive application, the dedication to actualizing what is vs. feeling perceptions manifesting into declared realizations. Be a devotee of the light, a Light Bearer, abandoning the (gravity, grave-ness, the deadly illusions, the weight and pull of the) world (of thoughts, culture, worldly concepts, dream projections of structure and form, national definitions, delineations, global limits and norms).
Let go of it all, this even that, until…nothing matters.

sun swims over layers of of orange and red;
a sunset, by the foothills of Himalayas, not too faraway;
Ananda discourses on the wonders and marvels
of the Tathagata, his conception, birth and other mythic trends,
earlier birth in tusita heaven...
the Blessed One after his quiet time arrives, enters
the discussion, he does not comment on language of mythic trends
but rather redirects
Ananda's attention to that which is more
significant;
"Wherefore do you Ananda, regard this too as a wonder, a
marvellous quality of the Tathagata: As to this, Ananda,
the feelings that arise in the Tathagata are known, as they persist, and as they are destructed:
not a single feeling enters or leaves without his knowledge;
same with perceptions, likewise the thoughts;
this too is a marvellous quality of the
Tathagata;
When presented with supernatural statements about himself
Buddha does not deny these, but he directs the speaker's attention
to something he considers to be of superior
spiritual significance,
the mindfulness of feelings, notions and the like; that which is doable
by any follower of the Dhamma.

He makes this seem like the greater miracle of being;
this relentless awareness;
to know when a feeling arises, inhabits the being, and then flees;
like a guest arriving, stays a while, and then moves away;
if something hurts you, it is your own feeling that hurts you;
due to a reactiveness;
Watched this way this guest, "your reactive thought"
becomes powerless;
a watched intruder does not break into the shrine of the
temple grounds,
the temple of your inner being; the sanctity of your soul;
miracle of Buddha's teaching is in the mindful activity,
in the attended feeling, idea, cognition, of the kindness, of the compassion,
their refulgent glory:
an immese patience with your own self....
the patient awareness
that of Sati; it is the crux of the matter;
not how much you know:
just this plain wisdom, you are fluid graceful wildly intelligent;
battle the drawbacks, the setbacks with this
intelligence, it is the gift

i love this!
So beautifully and poetically expressed the countenance of movement from the hearts' carriage from 'east to the west,' in sway momentarily to the north then the south enraptured by it All, yet flowing with light ease beaming with the effulgent glow of knowing.....

this poetess is in the height and depth of being so in the Presence, listening and carrying forth the watery wisdom to all who have the fiery heart and an ear to hear, as well, not!

'you become the movement,
wind;
there is no "me" "i' nor "mine" in you! just travelling spirit;
egoless;
neither woman nor man, a nameless spirit
force undefinabe....
cosmos travelling through
you,
blending features of the
sorrow of woman, burden of man
music
of the wind instruments,
almost inaudible,
scattering in it's path;
it makes you
immobile as a statue through it's movement
yet life
throbs in every cell;
every pulse..
tresses of hair framing
she stands
in a darling grove;
A Madonna
nourishing hunger of human race
downcast eye's affection...
and as it streams
a light radiates
mere spectator, i;

blend with the morning's balmy breezes
lady with supple limb, like rose
its petal
unfurl
shedding subtlest fragrance;
in that moment
there was neither eye nor an object for the eye;
all sense was like this,
amalgamated
in the brain centers of reception
yet seen,
heard, scented
textured, a subtlest difference
a depthless
intensity, rhythmless
rhythm
tresses framing
if i say a maiden's
countenance
how could it be...raven

such mornings....when travellers of this kind traverse
earthen
hemisphere...
bless our lives...'

THE HEART OF PRAJNA PARAMITA SUTRA
Prajna Paramita mantra,,
'Gate Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha!’

"By way of prajna paramita,

the bodhisattva's mind is free from hindrances.

With no hindrances, there is no fear;

freed from all distortion and delusion,

ultimate nirvana is reached.

By way of prajna paramita,

Buddhas of the past, present, and future,

attain anuttara-samyak-sambodhi.

Therefore, prajna paramita

is the great powerful mantra,

the great enlightening mantra,

the supreme and peerless mantra.

It can remove all suffering.

This is the truth beyond all doubt.

And the prajna paramita mantra is spoken thus:

'Om, Gate Gate Paragate Parasamgate Bodhi Svaha."'
