- Basically you install these packages:
gnome-session-fallback
human-theme
gnome-tweak-tool
Then log out and log in under "Gnome Classic (no effects)"
Then use gnome-tweak-tool to set the window theme to human and the gtk+ theme to radiance (as in the picture.)
Then run this command to enable metacity compositing:
gconftool-2 -s '/apps/metacity/general/compositing_manager' --type bool true
Finally log out and log in again (again choose "no effects" - this actually means "no compiz"). You can now configure the panels exactly as you could in gnome 2, by alt-rightclick or super-alt-rightclick.21 mei 2012 - Nice, might have to give that a try!21 mei 2012
