(Note for Saturday) It is said that the best of an individual is born out of their faults and that they often improve later on, more than if they had never done anything wrong. - (adapted from the book "A Man Called Ove.")

(Note for Saturday) Wild Love

Is not impermanence the very fragrance of our days?

Flare up like flame
and make big shadows I can move in.

Let everything happen to you: beauty and terror.
Just keep going. No feeling is final.
Don’t let yourself lose me.

Nearby is the country they call life.
You will know it by its seriousness

Give me your hand.

– Rainer Maria Rilke translated by Joanna Macy

Note for Saturday)

In each of us is a voice called The Muse. She brings a thought forward . . . it catches you . . . you say , "I won't forget this!"

So you do not write it down and go about what you were doing. Later while involved in some innocuous endeavor wisps of the thought float by . . . the original thought just outside your grasp. There and not there. The Must has in that moment avenged your ignoring her earlier.

The Muse brings you a gift, it is important to accept it when it is presented.
