I took my family there for my wife's birthday. We had reservations, but were served much later than people who came in after us. The food was just "ok" tastewise and could have been heated more. They do have an excellent wine and beer menu. Overall, a moderate dining experience at a hugely inflated price. I have since taken my family to Mona Lisa's in Manitou and will never return to Melting Pot.

Well I've gone to the Melting Pot a couple times now and I will be talking about my most recent visit. I made a reservation almost a week out and took my wife and mother in law who I told flew in all the way from Germany for vacation and wanted to take somewhere nice. We were seated after a couple minutes of arriving however a mother and daughter came in after us and they said they did not make a reservation. They were seated a few seconds after us and that started an issue. They were served drinks, salads, dinner, desert all ahead of us. They were given better service for our drinking glasses were always left empty and server always disappearing. We actually waited 30 minutes after we were done with dinner to finally be asked if we were finished by another server that wasn't even ours. I asked to buy a salad dressing and was given one that expires in less then 30 days. Also our oil was not hot enough. The other patrons had their pots steaming and if we placed our hand above the pot it was barely warm. We asked repeatedly to have this fixed but were told that they can't for safety reasons. Took me 7 minutes to heat up a shrimp!!! When I pay close to $150 to $200 everytime I go I expect prompt service, professional courtesy, and top of the line dining. I received way below par service and don't plan on ever going back.

Great fun! We had a great waiter Rarig and the staff was so friendly, the food was to die for! A little expensive but well worth the experience. The only complaint I would have is that a particular drink we ordered was not available, nor was the 2nd choice....but the Ying Yang Martini we received in their place was delish...I would have hoped that there may be a freebie or discount because of the drink thing. However, the balloon bouquet ($22) for our table was lovely and the special plate with a happy birthday wish was unique and very sweet. Also the whole restaurant signed a neat card for our birthday girl! All in all a super time and the food was absolutely fabulous! Definitely a MUST for a special occassion.

we dropped on new years day evening, without a reservation. (we were unaware that one might be necessary). We were graciously seated at the bar to wait for our table. The bar staff was so sweet and attentive, we wound up having our meal at the bar. The hostess graciously offered us a table, but we chose to remain where we were. the service and food were incredible. we felt like we received a "royal treatment". a little "pricey", maybe, but not if the quality and atmosphere are considered

Wow are there really this many bad reviews? This place is amazing in every way! Is it expensive? Yes, it is and if you can't put up some buck to go to an adult establishment and spend some money, go to McDonalds. Are the portions small? Correct, they are, but you can request more of anything that you get. Plus they have prime cuts of meat that are pricey wherever you go. The wine list is wonderful, the service is top notch, and the setting is perfectly romantic and relaxing. If you want something more high end than that, go to New York City or Paris. Wonderful restaurant, I have a reservation for next Friday.

The Melting Pot is fondue. No surprise there. It is well done and the food is quite good. I personally like the bread and cheese sauce best, but really everything is quite tasty. The location is a little funky but overall it is nice inside. I prefer this to Mona Lisa in Manitou.
