A warm sunny day at the off grid solar camper. Spent the day unpacking tools, organizing and blocking mouse entrance holes in the camper. The solar batteries got a nice charge today from the full sun. And I did not need any heat for a change last night.

Please contact me at info@thediyworld.com for my address. I cant find a way to make this answer private.

I plan to make new solar panel mounts that are movable and can be angled at different angles to follow the sun better. Did not know flat is best for cloudy days, thanks.

I am actually thinking about making a dropped ceiling in here using 2-3 inch foam insulation to prevent heat loss better. The ceiling in this thing is the worst insulated part. They made the frame, then put 2 inch insulation over top of the frame and then stapled the roof on over top of the insulation. This crushes the insulation at every frame board, making it useless. Plus the wires for power run all through the ceiling, further reducing the space for insulation. Horrible.

We have rain now, almost every day. Bad for solar. But its that season now and its good for learning all about solar and its limitations.

The off grid solar camper in winter. Having trouble with water supply and solar power. It has been cloudy for days. But with ingenuity things are going well.

The Off Grid Camper has been moved to a new, better location. Some small damage occurred to the camper on the way and the inside was a mess, but otherwise the move went well. Follow the progress of The Off Grid Project
