Because they've been taking down a lot of the negative reviews, blocking them, or otherwise finding ways to circumvent the bad reviews, I'm publically posting my updated review where they can't touch it:

I can no longer recommend this business. I will not support a business whose owner or employees are registered sex offenders and whose history is molesting children especially when said owner is (a) in contact with minors as a part of business (e.g. rides home), (b) does not understand that an eleven year old girl is NOT his girlfriend, (c) has used an alias to avoid the more vigilant consumer from picking up on the registered sex offender status while conducting business. Furthermore, the family business' denial of the accusations after an in-depth investigation was conducted further leads me to steer clear of this business and have my car serviced elsewhere.

Subway

Avoid this location at all costs. There is a Safeway right around the corner with a deli.

This isn't the first time we've been at this shop, but it is the last time we will be going there.

At noon on Saturday, they had no coin change for cash paying customers.

They toasted one of the sandwiches in our order without asking, so we had to pay tax on it.

The $8.00 Turkey, Bacon, Avocado sandwich (http://s3-media2.ak.yelpcdn.com/bphoto/CrTFhBQVoqSSiFsOLiPrfA/l.jpg) looked nothing like the advertised photo. We had to actually pull up the tomatoes to find the few slivers of avocado, the bacon looked hardly appealing, and the turkey got lost behind the cheese. Sad. We should have called 9-1-1 and performed CPR on it.

Our four sandwich order was royally screwed up.

Even though the shop is down the street from where we and 48 others play lacrosse on a regular basis, we won't be going back and will be sure to encourage the rest of the teams to hit up another location instead of giving our business to this location.

Nothing better than commenting on someone else's post and finding out that you somehow offended them and fell out of their circlehood. Oh wait, yes there is something better - not even knowing what was so damned offensive. Suck rocks, buddy; I don't like coffee that much anyway. (Yes, I lie; but that's my version of sour grapes.)

Attention writers:

My writing group suggested I hook up with someone versed in mystery/suspense/thriller fiction for critique and feedback purposes. Of course I would offer the same in return. If you're interested, let me know! I can definitely use some awesomesauce critiquing!

Thanks

Got a letter from Feinstein about her support for PIPA. Talk about misguided! Folks, feel free to write to her with me to get her straightened out. #STOPPIPA

Personally, I'd rather hear from the GOP a wicked plan on how to charge FEMA with rerouting the flooding in the south over to these here pickin' fires. Now tell me that's not a political post you don't mind seeing. ;0) http://goo.gl/maps/CAlw We're smack in the middle of the red stuff (active, uncontained fires).

Any of my tech friends able to help? My old laptop crashed yesterday with the BSOD. Says: stop: C0000218 registry file failure hive (file) \systemroot\system32\config\SOFTWARE file is corrupt, damaged, or absent. I ran CHKDSK and it said everything's okay. Tried MS's 13 page white paper solution: FAILED. I really need to get the information off of there. Is there any hope?

I'm looking for online and local mystery/suspense/thriller critique partners. If you are interested, please email me at TheChicoWritersGroup@gmail.com (no, you do not have to be a member and this is not affiliated with the writing group, however we do have openings for writers in the Chico area). This is only for writers in the same genre, beta readers won't be open for at least 60 days. Please feel free to share.

Dear Senator Feinstein,

This is why PIPA needs to be stopped. What it all boils down to is due process and the lack thereof. If you're really that concerned about Internet piracy, then write a more concise piece of legislation.

Their phone support system is horrible. I tried calling for over thirty minutes and kept getting a busy signal for 15 of those minutes. When I finally did get the automated center and made it to the sales line, I was put on hold forever. Finally KK came to the line. I explained the situation but she was not listening to my explanation and was rather brusque. I had to repeat myself forcefully several times before she put me on hold, without explanation and the phone rang again a few minutes after. A woman named Stacey came on the line, I explained again, she said she wanted to call me back because she wasn't at a place where she could give me her full attention. Matter is still unresolved at this time, but the phone situation is absolutely horrific.

On March 19, 2010 I had my '05 Hyundai Sonata in for the 60K mile service. 3 months later on June 19, '10 the check engine lights came on and the car stalled. My minor sons and I were stuck in the desert at temps over 116°F until the car could be fixed by Harbor Hyundai Monday, June 21. The crankshaft sensor had malfunctioned which was caused by severely degraded timing belt assembly which was supposed to have been replaced during the 60K mile service. Mr. Chuck Albert, the service manager at Accurate, concurred. The belts should have been replaced and he admitted they were responsible. He took the information to the owner, Mr. Rob Jeffries. However, that was 6 weeks ago. I've made several calls, which Jeffries refuses to take. He's refused the certified letter of demand I sent 2 weeks ago as well which makes no sense. I only asked to be reimbursed for expenses that were as a direct result of the shop's failure to service my car. Your car is something you entrust your life and the lives of your loved ones with. You get service that you feel you can entrust your life, even your children's lives with. If you do value you and your children's lives, you're best to steer clear of this shady business. Clearly they do not value customer service and safety as much as they claim on their websites.

Had my '05 Hyundai Sonata in on 3/19/10 for the 60K mile service. 3 months later on Sat., 6/19/10 the engine failed as a direct result of their negligence. The timing assembly belts that they showed as "ok" should have been replaced, per Hyundai's recommendations. Stranded out in the desert in temps exceeding 116°F with my minor sons, we were towed the following day, on Father's Day, to Harbor Hyundai so the car could be first up Monday morning. The deteriorated balance belt's teeth had fallen off and caused the crank shaft sensor to malfunction. It cost me thousands of dollars out of pocket before I finally made it home with the boys, safe. Chuck Albert, the service manager, admitted they should have replaced the belts and accepted responsibility for the repairs; however after supposedly turning the information and my itemized invoice over to the owner, Robert Jeffries, no one has made any attempts to settle this matter. Jeffries dodges calls and refused the certified demand letter I sent after 3 weeks of him not returning calls. On their websites, they claim to take customer satisfaction very seriously. I brought my car in to their shop because I felt they were honest and valued my safety and my family's safety. If you value your safety and the safety of your loved ones, I urge you to find someone else to service your vehicle because clearly, this auto shop does not. Mr. Jeffries, if you wish the negative reviews to be mollified with a favorable follow-up that reports you have come forward to honor your integrity by settling this matter, then go to your database, look up invoice 000043699 and get in touch with me. In a small community like Chico, word of mouth can not only help a business grow and thrive, it can also bring it to its knees. Remember this and do the right thing.

Joey rescued us from a very troublesome green pool and has kept us above water ever since. He is polite, witty, knowledgeable and quick. His prices are very reasonable. Extremely reasonable, in fact. He's saved us a lot of money not just by helping get our pool back into shape, but for not much more than what we were paying for chemicals, we have someone who's keeping our pool in - well, clear balance. And did I mention he's really fast? We joke that he could have Lake Tahoe clean in under an hour and yet I wouldn't be surprised if that is actually true. Give him a call, you'll be glad you did!
