Brunch food is disappointing. Music is fantastic! The Benedict was bitter and tangy but not in a good way and the biscuits and gravy were pretty bland in general. But the band was soulful and fun.

I have been here a couple of times for the happy hour and the food and drinks offered for the happy hour price have been delicious and reasonable. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable.

The place is a classy joint to get upscale soul food but the food doesn't match the elegant and sexy decor. The food was not so flavorful and fresh as we thought it would be. But this is still a sexy date spot to sip on whisky and even catch some great live music.

This restaurant is located right next to Yoshi's. The decor in this place is so fancy! I came here with my boyfriend and his college honor society. While the service was a little spotty, I think serving 100+ college students isn't any server's idea of a good time and can forgive them for that. The food itself was really good, although I prefer the savory to the sweet which is a surprise since I normally have a sweet tooth.

Food's a tad overpriced for what you get. My kids think their fried chicken isn't any better than the buttermilk fried chicken I make at home. I love their mashed potatoes 'tho. The chive biscuits were hard, I can do better. I thought the shrimp and grits was OK, that and a salad was a filling enough meal for me. I've definitely had better shrimp & grits (Eats, in Las Vegas makes a spectacular one) elsewhere. Atmosphere is really nice and our waitress was a gem. I'd consider a return visit only if I wanted to dine somewhere else besides Yoshii's if I were in the area for a show/concert. Otherwise, I might not make a special trip here for the food.

We went to 1300 for gospel brunch on Easter and had a nice time. There was a large group of us, but we had made a reservation in advance so seating was not a problem. The menu is a little pricey (plus they charge you an additional music fee per person) but the food and drinks were good, and the music was enjoyable. I would maybe go again for a special occasion, but would not frequent regularly.
