Check this website out! You can have many of your questions regarding your diagnosis answered as well as more information about the body!

How to fit your Crutches:
The tips of the crutches should be 4-6 inches in front of and to the side of your toes and allow for a 20-25 degree bend in the elbow. Your hand grips should be about level with the widest part of your hips, or at the crease of the wrist when the elbow is slightly bent. You should be able to fit 2 fingers between the top of the crutch and your armpit. Be sure to put the pressure through the wrists and not the armpit, due to the sensitive nature of the nerve bundles in the armpit.

If you have any questions regarding the fit or fitting your crutches to you, call TODAY to come by and have a licensed therapist fit you properly. 352-376-6300. #physicaltherapy #crutches
