Imaginative, locally sourced New-American bistro featuring tasting-sized portions of food & wine.- Google
People talk about half portions, lobster risotto, make a reservation, sauteed shrimp and cold cucumber soup

Simply the best dining experience we've enjoyed on the North Shore, it's our destination of choice for special occasions. Every dish is exquisitely prepared, cooked perfectly and the wait staff impeccable. We're not connoisseurs, but healthy veggie types who always enjoy their good food and friendly setting.

the stellar idea of either small or large portions of the same dish works astoundingly well, especially with the yummy good food, and great attitudes of the servers. it's a winner!

fine food comes to gloucester! been there twice with family & friends, and got rave reviews on both occasions. most entrees are available in 1/2 portions, which makes sampling even easier. for our 40th, my wife and i tried 5 different different dishes and two desserts -- all out of this world. word of caution -- the place is tiny so make reservations at least 2 weeks in advance

Service was excellent; our waiter was patient and explained everything. Leave a large budget, though! Even without desserts (and with half a glass of wine each) it came to $90. I had excellent salmon with carrot sauce, roasted carrots, and risotto. Most importantly, you can get EVERYTHING in a half portion (even the wine!) There are only 10 tables so make a reservation! Also had wonderful soups (we tried the creamy mushroom and also a cold cucumber soup.) I highly recommend Duckworth's.

What may be lacking in space or service is more than compensated for by the heavenly food, every bite simply splendid. It almost makes one consider relocating to Gloucester - how delightful it would be to have this restaurant in one's backyard.

Great place with outstanding food. Service is excellent and Duckworth's offer good value. I suggest they move into larger quarters nearby so it would not be so crowded and they could also offer a view of the harbor.
