Check out this #photosphere of Tucson Our last day in Tucson we decided to hike partway up to Wasson Peak. Here is where we stopped at the intersection of Kings Canyon and sweetwhat a trails. . The peak is 1.2 miles away and several hundred feet higher. It was already blowing briskly at the saddle so we had no real urge to visit again Wasson peak.

A chill somewhat damp afternoon hike from Rattlesnake creek to the White River. The morning had spit some snow and rain at us but it eased off by noon. With the cover from bare oak, maple and beech the wind wasn't a problem and the hike was enjoyable. Seeing the new bridge here was quite nice. Long may it stand against the black water in this area.

Yes I know I've a void in the photo sphere. Aliens are no doubt listening to the live music. Wheatland music festival was quite good this year.

It's a lovely if a bit windy and pleasantly cool morning here. If my Wintergreen hat turns up life will be even better. For now I'll enjoy the wildly varying quality but always enthusiastic open mic at Centenial Stage.

The bridge of Flowers in Shelbyrn, Ma. It's a wonderful use of an old trolley bridge dating back to 1929

I just received the lap works Tablet PCs stand. First impressions: isn't too hard to set up if you have a friend with two hands that can help you. I definitely needed that since my left hand is useless. However, I also have to say it doesn't feel nearly as secure as I would like. While you can change the orientation of the iPad up-and-down and from portrait to landscape mode it is going to be tough to do the latter. Doing the former is straightforward but it doesn't really hold. The base is also a bit on the wobbly side it just lacks sufficient wait down there and I think that the Pivvot / holder the iPad since he is prone to failure since is just hard plastic. Finally, the holder does not hold an iPad 3 all that securely with a thin case is somewhat better but still not as snug as you might wish. Forget using a 50 case like a padded quill case it will not fit at all.

I probably should have gone with the rather more expensive carbon steel floor stand I suspect that is a much more robust piece of engineering however as long as I'm careful and can stand to live it just portrait mode this $60 product should work.

Please forgive any screw ups in the text this has been done totally using Siri dictation. I think I got all of series mistakes.
I thought this was already posted but it appears not to have been.

As Alison already knows I seriously broke two fingers 10 days ago. I've had surgery and am recovering but I will be in a hand encompassing cast for 6 to 8 weeks. This means, among other things, I cannot type. It also means using my iPad is quite difficult. So, I am looking to buy either a swing arm for the iPad or at the very least some sort of easel like stand. Has anyone got recommendations for a swivel arm or easel type stand?

By the way, enhanced dictation under Mavericks works quite well far better than the dictation in Siri.
