how it's made

TO PLAY: watch an episode of How It's Made with your friends, preferably where you can pause / play the episodes at your leisure. watch the entire thing on mute. be careful to avoid any instances where they tell you what any of the things they're making are.

each player takes a turn. the other players can know what the thing is, but the actual player going up can't.

on your turn, you get an entire segment where they show you how something is made. you won't know what they're making or what's going on, so you're just going to narrate whatever the hell you think is up, making it as outlandish as possible. speak with full authority. eventually you'll realize what it actually is or what they're angling for, and you'll have to reconcile your dumb crap with the truth, just like in your everyday lives

you may need multiple episodes to accommodate everyone, and some segments won't be as fun as others or may tip themselves too easily. it happens! just keep on going until you hit the sweet spot.

(everyone please play this many times and tell me how it goes so i an expand upon it)

someone do this thing: a long time ago, there was a game design contest where everyone made a character sheet for a game that didn't exist, then randomly gave it to another participant who then had to design a game for that sheet. some sheets were highly detailed, others were experimental strangeness.

it looks like it'd be a lot of fun to try!
