Great news.  No more having to manually clear Maven snapshot dependencies from ivy cache.

Join in the fun: the Grails48 hackerthon, running 9th - 11th November, has gone global. Find a venue near you or join a team online and have some fun coding with like-minded individuals.

Whether you're experienced or a beginner, you'll get something from this event. Learn from others how to write Grails apps or stretch yourself by trying out new technologies like the Platform Core event bus. This is your event.

I guess this is a problematic release. I didn't seem to upgrade from the previous version properly.

We just released three version of +Groovy in the same day!
Groovy 2.0.1, Groovy 1.8.7 and the last Groovy 1.7.11.

In particular, I'd like to stress out all the bug fixes of the new Groovy 2 features in the 2.0.1 release. Be sure to upgrade to have the latest and best!

Groovy is very nice, and your work on it is excellent - thanks! (and, kudos for pulling off a release hat trick)
