Basic Information
I have always been a lifelong Les Schwab customer. The tires I've purchased from them over the years have always performed well and they do stand by their warranty. This bad review stems from a flat repair done by the Meridian location a couple years ago. I took my truck in because one of my tires would not hold air pressure. They fixed the flat no problem like they always do but what happened next is why they lost a life long customer. Their employee, after fixing my flat, came out to talk to me and informed me my brakes were so bad it would be unsafe for me to leave their shop. I told him they seem to be fine and again he strongly advised that I get them replaced and he had all the right parts ready to go right at that moment. I almost took them up on this. I've always trusted their opinion and professionalism in the past. My gut told me to go get a second opinion and I'm glad I did. I took my truck to Gary's Automotive, probably one of the most trusted mechanics in town, and had them do a brake check without telling them about Les Schwabs opinion on my brakes. They informed me that my brakes had at least a year of life left!!! Why would Les Schwab try to up-sale its customers by fear mongering them into getting brakes??Guarantee I wasn't the first person they tried this stunt on or the last. Your dishonestly lost you a customer for the rest of my life. Maybe this bad experience doesn't reflect the company's ethics as a whole but there are too many other excellent tire companies locally to waist my time on them.

I was a life long Les Schwab customer until about a year ago when I was getting a flat repaired and they told me my brakes were so bad it would be unsafe to leave their shop. I left and immediately scheduled a brake check with Gary's Automotive. They informed me that my brakes were just fine and probably had AT LEAST another year left on them. Talk about shady!! After that experience I took a chance on Discount Tire on Eagle for my next set of tires and I'm glad I did. Their customer service is second to none. The manager, Greg, is really doing a great job. So far I've purchased tires for my truck and also for my wife's car. No complaints. You've earned a new customer with your honesty and customer service, Discount Tire.
