It's curious to me that people speak of lost love as a tangible form of death. What most of the world doesn't realize is that there is a small populace of people undergoing a continual process of this 'self-annihilation.' You are cutting another part of the self off, and going through all of the natural pain and emotions (from love and experience, to a very poignant and abrupt killing of all such experiences) on a constant basis . . . strange that to experience it once or twice, would 'really' be a terrible phenomenon, for some.
