Because we're celebrating Canada's 150th year this year, national park passes are being given out FREE.

Hey Canadians, how many of these 15 have you been to? :D

"Each ranking drop in a country’s reputation is associated with a decrease in export volume of 2 percent...the relationship works both ways. If reputation improves, our model predicts the same corresponding increase in export volume.."

"Our research makes one thing clear: Countries ignore their international reputations at their peril. If Trump is serious about increasing exports, a good place to start would be improving America’s – and his – standing in the world."

Not news to the world that Trump is unfit - but news from the world (or specifically Germany) that Trump needs to be forced from office as he doesn't possess the intellect or morals to maintain global stability.

Imagine if Mairead Corrigan, Betty Williams, and Ciaran McKeown had not taken the initiative to start the momentum ...

"We have a simple message to the world from this movement for Peace. We want to live and love and build a just and peaceful society. We want for our children, as we want for ourselves, our lives at home, at work, and at play to be lives of joy and Peace. We recognise that to build such a society demands dedication, hard work, and courage. We recognise that there are many problems in our society which are a source of conflict and violence. We recognise that every bullet fired and every exploding bomb make that work more difficult. We reject the use of the bomb and the bullet and all the techniques of violence. We dedicate ourselves to working with our neighbours, near and far, day in and day out, to build that peaceful society in which the tragedies we have known are a bad memory and a continuing warning."

Congratulations +Rumana Monzur!
Remember Rumana's tragic and horrific story? The strength and beauty of spirit to not only survive but to resume and persevere with her education to graduate with a UBC law degree (her 3rd degree) is astounding. What an inspiration!

"Rather than pushing traditional Tibetan teachings or verbatim scripture, the Dalai Lama urged students to pursue peace in the coming century. He emphasized the importance of cultivating reason and the basic human capacity for compassion in order to do this."

It's not about religion, rather it's about ethical behavior and basic human compassion.
"'Wonderful,' His Holiness responded, 'you are putting my vision into action. You are showing how we can share the idea of ethics with others, without having to rely on this or that religious tradition, but based on common experience and human values. Everybody appreciates kindness, but unfortunately our modern education system, with its materialistic goals, doesn’t have much room for inner values. We need to make people more aware of such inner values on the basis of scientific findings, common sense and common experience.'"

Yes, this event that's gone viral (over 14 million views so far) happened close by.

No one got hurt. People putting their kid in the exact spot where they just fed food to the the wild animal should not be surprised that the animal checked out what kind of yummy surprise was now being offered. ;P

But ya gotta give your head a shake at the hordes returning to that very spot with more little ones, some holding them up for the sea lion to see.

There were lots of signs throughout this fisherman's wharf warning against feeding wildlife and the fact that it is against the law. More new signs went up... to no avail.

As cute and friendly as they appear, wildlife are WILD...
