Sleek, modern eatery featuring Italian specialties fired in a coal oven, plus a weekday happy hour.- Google
"The meatballs were amazing and the Mia pizza is very good."
"Pretty good on the whole sustainable & local produce line from what I hear too."

Talk about aiming to please. Being 25, I go out to most restaurants thinking I'll get basic service, but because of my age I'm probably not worth giving 5 star service. Probably because they think I'm incapable of tipping well. But, wow every single time I have eaten here the service is spectacular! Doesn't matter which server we get. Doesn't matter how busy it is. One time a member of our party got their breakfast way sooner then the others, they comped the dish. Another time, they forgot a mimosa, but then recognized it later and gave it to us for free. When we asked about wine, the manager/sommelier walked to our table and in length discussed the wine with us. It was an unexpected and much appreciated surprise. I'm in walking distance of this joint, and I could literally walk here every night for dinner. Atmosphere, pizza and cocktails. Brunch is top notch. I highly recommend this place!

Planned a family get together for the newly graduated Doctor in the family. Reservations went well but upon being here more than once before the food became subpar this visit. Not many of the 16 party members spoke of this being outstanding. When one of the family complained to the server that she just didn't like her meal (was willing to pay for it, just wanted it off the table) one of the co owners Dean immediately came over and started becoming irate that it was a top meal for them and she should just eat it and enjoy. When we started approaching him to find out why he publicly tried to shame her he became very verbal where other guests could hear. I don't quite know what happened in all of the fluff but Willy Walked in and we explained what happened to him, he was concerned as to the level things escalated so quickly and the server made it clear we did nothing wrong. The place is alright but as with most new places to dine in town Pitch reminds me of a fad restaurant. (Oh, and bring your ear plugs, you will have a hard time hearing the person next to you)

Customer service at its worst. My wife and I went in there for lunch and was served a veggie/mushroon sandwich. Tasted great but could hardly eat the thing because of a tough outer skin of the mushrooms and soggy bread. The waitress came over and asked how we like everything and we expressed our thoughts on the sandwich. She then expressed her apology and then asked how it tasted. We said it tasted great. She then said "that's great I'm glad you liked it" and walked away. The manager came over a few minutes later and asked the identical questions and said "that's great I'm glad you liked it" then walked away. We then thought they are totally avoiding the issue that the sandwich was not edible. We only ate half and left the other half on the plate. They did not offer even a gesture of compensation and charged us the whole $12.00 for a half of sandwich. Will not be back. There are far too many great restaurants in this city to enjoy that will go out of their way to make customers happy. Pitch Pizzaria is not one of them!

Had a super snotty waitress. I mean over the top rude. Had to deal with manager. I am sure he didn't care. Probably just defends staff and thinks patrons are a problem. Won't go back. Plenty of other options out there.

Their wood-coal oven is just like the way I first learned to cook! The wild mushroom pizza is THE only time I have EVER loved mushrooms pizza or ANYTHING I haven't made personally. I used to be a chef professionally & never trust fungi I haven't gathered myself...except for their chef now! The cocktails are reasonably priced & there are some GREAT combinations that change slightly with the seasons. Like the rest of the menu. Pretty good on the whole sustainable & local produce line from what I hear too. Just a FANTABULOUS place!
